My hat is off and my hand is over my heart to all who rode this ride and to all who made it possible. I pray daily for the safe return of all our military people in harm’s way. I also pray for the fallen, the many wounded warriors and all their families. Your strength of will amazes me. We all witness that your wounds of flesh do not diminish your lives and we are so inspired. Stay Strong and God Bless You All.

  • Donnella Arrington:

I have enjoyed watching your progress from begining to end. You are ALL amazing and inspirational!!! I wish all of you the best of luck with your future endevors. Whether you are returning to active duty, your jobs or therapy you all can be proud of what you have accomplished both personally and raising the awareness for wounded soldiers. You all have been a part of history with the first Sea 2 Shining Sea endevor and you will always carry those momories with you. Thank you for your service and for allowing all of us to be a small part of your adventure!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Chad and Joshua at the Starbucks near my office as I was heading home last evening. As a young girl, my dream had been to fly to CA and ride eastward, but my family deemed that college was my first priority. I was inspired by these gentlemen and the whole team! As a lifelong military brat and registered nurse, I have nothing but tremendous admiration for all of the STSS participants for their service, dedication and passion for their country and to this grueling avenue for bringing the issues to the notice of the American public. I hope that The Beach welcomes you as the champions that you all are!!

  • We are honored to have had this inspiring group of people ride through our town. As a “bicycling mecca” we witness many compelling and meaningful cycling events but rarely do we encounter a group of more inspiring and honorable individuals. These men and women are examples of America at its best. We are proud to have these men and woman represent a sport that is not only a foundation for our local economy but our passion.

  • Brian from Boulder, Utah:

I was out riding my bike today and crossed path's with the group. What an inspiring bunch of folks! I was coming down off of Boulder Mountain as they were coming up and cheered each rider on. They have a huge day today with a total elevation gain of over 5000 feet. The top of Boulder Mountain is at 9600'! Way to go!

  • Dale Moore:

As a Patriot Guard Rider in Utah, I had the opportunity to ride with these people on Friday, June 4, 2010
from Moneca, Utah to Cedar City, Utah. My job was to provide “rode safety support” from vehicle traffic along the route making sure the bike riders were protected.
I was so moved to be in the presence of these really great people. I tried to Thank each of them for what
the were doing and let them know how much I respected them and was in awe of their abilities.
They were all very appreciative of the protection service the PGR provided, but it is each and every one of them that should be appreciated. It was an honor for me to be there. At rest stops along the way we had the opportunity to have great visits with them, WOW, what a group of people. Good luck and the very best to all of you.

My sister and I passed these guys about 60 miles south of Ely Nv – on their Way to Panaca Nv! They were in the middle of a 100 mile long Nevada valley – 114 miles from one town to the next. They are Heros and very intrepid travelers. May fortune and good health follow you to Virginia Beach!

  • I came upon your police ecort and riding team near the base of Sand Mountain Nevada along Highway 50… You made an impact on this guy..True heros in my book! Good luck.. and keep on keepin' on!

  • eric frazier:

    Do you mean Eric Frazier????

  • CPT Jackie Rushton :

    Mike–
You are awesome! You are my favorite Wounded Warrior. Every day I thank God that you can get up and ride a two-wheeled bike, that you can walk, that you are happy, that we are together. Stay strong and do not let anyone tell you that you can't or shouldn't do something. Show everyone, show the world what you can do. I am proud to be your wife and so proud that you are doing this. Ride strong, ride hard, and I will see you in Pittsburgh! Go Army!!! Ok, Go Air Force too. (Thanks Joe O'Callaghan of Irish Cycles, all the Doctors and Nurses of Arizona Pain Management, all the Doctors and Nurses of Arizona Neurological Associates, and special thanks to the Medics, Nurses, Doctors, and everyone who brought my husband home to me. Essayons!)

  • Alannah Norans:

We got to see them and met a couple today. My son's school is on Highway 88 so the entire school were standing outside waiting for them when they rode by. The whole school cheered them on. It was pretty cool.

  • Arnold N Gordon-Bray:

If this is your frist time looking at this site be prepared to be blown away. The ride is 4, 000 miles OK that is impressive but it is 63 days averaging about 60 miles per day riding though whatever weather they can safely negotiate. Oh yeah, the routes include hills and uneven roads…and some people who don't like you or respect your right to pedal on a road. Now add to all that most of your teammates have a limb or two that doesn't function as it used to and 5 of your teammates are even pedaling with their arms. If you are impressed you probably have a percent of the challenge. These are great Americans who are validating this generation as America's new “greatest generation”. They are showcasing the resilence that is sometimes questioned; the advancements in medicine and equipment for all who are willing to try and leading the way for others who may have been the unfortunate casualities of our long wars…and accidents or challenges from birth. If they ride through or near your town ride with them for a period 1 mile or a 100–you will be moved and rejuvenated. God Bless them all–even the crusty ones like Rory!!!!

  • Sandra:
