I had the honor of being one of the officers escorting this group of brave hereo's through the Lake Tahoe region. I wish everyone could have witnessed the teamwork & guts envolved with this group as they climbed Spooner Summit which reaches 7,200 feet. They are awesome. I refuse to describe this group as having disabilities. Sure, some are missing limbs or have spinal problems however, THEY ARE NOT DISABLED.
    God bless,
    Al

  • Victoria Wayne:

This morning I heard about the S2SS ride, checked out the course on the website, grabbed a freind, Corinne Wylie, made some sandwiches and headed to the lunch spot at Puta Creek. (what a name!) It was so great to see Jerry Bermmer again who I hadn't seen since across a conference table in Iraq in 2004. He really looked good in a different outfit! Mostly though, what was really fantasic was all our wounded warriors looking strong and fine and on terrific bikes, ready to cross this beautiful country from Sea to Shining Sea. You guys are my heros and getting to bring you a few sandwiches and and cheer you on made my day. Have a great trip and I'll be staying tuned in! Vici Wayne
