Guys and ladies: It was our pleasure and our sincere honor serving you dinner in Sacramento on Sunday night as part of the Western States BBQ Association. May you be blessed on your journey as follows: “May every valley be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, and the rugged places a plain.” God bless all of you. And thank you for your service and your sacrifices. John Haluck, LtCol (Retired) USAF and CAAirNG and Yvette Haluck.

Sunday, May 23 my friend Corrine Wylie and I rode out to Putah Creek (gotta love that name) to meet our heros and cyclists extraordiare. I also wanted to say hello to Jerry Bremmer again who I had not seen since our time working together in Baghdad. He looked like he surivived it OK and was pretty handsome in his cycling shorts! But what really knocked me out were our wounded warriors who looked so fine and strong and like they were ready for the coast to coast trip by any backroad. Yesterday was their first day and they hit some really horrendous weather but these great guys and women weren't letting anything like that get them down. Today the sun was shining and I wish you all a great journey over this beautiful country. I hope the cheese sandwiches and cherries were OK. God bless you guys and gals. You are all heros in my book.
